Since Mother’s Day is once again fast-approaching, I thought I would re-share my round-up of the best places for afternoon tea in Toronto. If you’re looking to get a reservation for Mother’s Day – STOP whatever you’re doing and call now! Places book up extra fast and if you can’t get the Sunday, consider meeting on the Saturday instead. Enjoy!
One of my favourite traditions for Mother’s Day is going for afternoon tea in Toronto with my sister and Mom along with Paul and his Mom. It’s a nice way for our parents to get caught up and a fun way to spend the afternoon together. We usually spoil our Moms with a small gift as well – see our 2014 + 2015 + 2016 Mother’s Day Gift Ideas & Guide. Having toured and tasted my way through the tea rooms of Toronto, I proclaim these to be the best places for afternoon tea in the city: (more…)

Yes, it’s all about the bride but pretty maids in a row deserve to get their shine too.
Adorn them with dresses that aren’t just photo ready but also chic and wearable beyond the big day. A tall order indeed but luckily Toronto is filled with several fantastic bridesmaid boutiques sure to fit the bill. If your bridal party is on the hunt, check out these great shops:
Spring is just around the corner and it’s almost time to come out from hibernation. There are lots of great spring events happening in Toronto over the next couple months! Here are my top picks to mark on your calendar:
If winter is getting you down, pop into this inspiring garden show with your parents or grandparents and get some spring inspiration. The show will be held alongside the National Home Show at the Enercare Centre at Exhibition Place in Toronto.
Look for feature gardens created by the expert designers, architects, builders and floral superstars. Check out workshops from gardening stars Frankie Flowers and Mark Cullen during the festival.

During my seven-year career as a DJ, I had the chance to work and attend 400+ weddings all over Toronto and the GTA. I’m always paying close attention to the food, service and how well I am treated (even as a staff member – these are the people who will sing your praises). A few of them stand out in my mind, so I’m sharing my most favourite and unique wedding venues in Toronto as an industry-insider:
