I received an exclusive invitation to prepare dim sum with world renowned chef, Susur Lee at his newest restaurant, Luckee. Located in the chic Soho Metropolitan Hotel, the sleek and modern restaurant offers classic dim sum dishes with a unique twist.
Chef Lee welcomed our small group of food bloggers and began the workshop by speaking about his favourite item on the menu. Har gow is a simple steamed shrimp dumpling that is a staple dim sum dish. Prior to the workshop commencing, we sampled crunchy spring rolls and chicken cheung fun. The latter is my favourite dim sum dish, as the bite-sized morsel is soft, crunchy, and silky in texture. It has a savoury kick with tofu, ginger, green onion and soya juice. (more…)
