For those of you staunch “no white after Labour Day” rule followers, your days of wearing white are numbered for the year. Whether or not you abide by this rule, there’s limited opportunity to take advantage of the time when wearing white is completely acceptable. When done right, the white-on-white style elevates even the most basic of clothes and gives you an element of effortless chic to your personal style.
White-on-white style can take on many different forms, including casual. Think, high-top converse sneakers, loose camisoles and chunky knit sweaters when wearing white. You can mix different casual fabrics, such as denim and cable-knit cotton, to pull together the most effortlessly stylish brunch attire. The whole look is casual but purposeful – like you just threw the outfit together and ended up looking magnificent (and that’s exactly what we’re going for here). (more…)

Half the battle of working out is looking and feeling great while doing it. A lot of this has to do less with style, and more about comfort. If we feel comfortable and can breathe easily and stay dry while we work out, we’re likely to have a better experience. We’ve put together our favourite active wear so that we both look and feel great at the gym, yoga studio, or wherever your adventurous healthy hearts take you.
First up is this very feminine Under Armour Sonic See it Through tank. The subtle hint of lace in the back makes this top is pretty enough for us to want to wear it on the regular. Don’t be fooled by the lovely exterior, this tank will keep you dry and gives you just enough stretch to move with you.
Let’s go under for a sec and talk sports bras. Victoria’s Secret has created a line of sports bras that have interesting straps that add style without cutting into your side. This Victoria’s Secret strappy back bra is perfect our hot yoga loving ladies. (more…)

The shOws hit Toronto last week premiering the Spring/Summer 2014 collections of four prominent Canadian designers. The shOws are Toronto’s pre-fashion week, if you will, a showcase of some of Canada’s best emerging, and established, fashion talent.
The shOws are held in the loft of the Andrew Richard Designs building and hosts crowds much smaller than fashion week. Twice a year, four designers are selected to present their collections and this year’s designers were: Bellavance, Calla Haynes, Steven Tai, and Jeremy Laing. (more…)
