Hello from Hotel Vintage!
It’s been a whirlwind of travel these past few weeks with visits to Austin, Texas and Lake Arrowhead. Paul and I landed in Portland, Oregon this past weekend for my second visit and his first. We LOVE it. It reminds us a bit of our hometown of Toronto and enjoyed the walkability of the downtown core. It’s definitely what’s missing for us in LA. If you’ve never been, you should go.
Portland is ranked the number one city in the US for beer, coffee, bike lanes and dogs. There’s also a bustling food cart scene, lots of great artisans, local shops and unique restaurants to explore.
I had the pleasure of staying at The Pantages Hotel during my recent visit to Toronto last month. This boutique property is located in the heart of downtown and directly across the street from The Toronto Eaton Centre for those looking to get their shopping on.
I loved the location of the hotel because it was steps away from the subway station with lots of fantastic restaurant and late-night food options in the neighbouring area. It was also a breeze getting around to all my meetings during a busy week back home. Here’s how my visit went:
A lovely welcome from the hotel! Chocolate-dipped strawberries and a chilled bottle of white wine awaited us after a long day running around town. It was such a nice and elegant touch to come home to. It was nice to flop on the couch and take in the skyline views of the city.
