If you’re new to smoothies and not sure where to start, this Strawberry Orange Banana Smoothie is a great jumping off point to start your year refreshed. From there, you can start incorporating spinach or other greens to get your full serving of fruits and vegetables in the morning.
This smoothie makes a delicious breakfast on-the-go. Just add your favorite vanilla protein powder to make it a meal and keep you full until lunch time. Or skip the protein powder and enjoy this as an afternoon snack. I like to pair it up with a hard-boiled egg if I’m still hungry.
I like using Simply Orange 89oz Orange Juice to give my smoothie a bit of sweetness and that clean citrus flavor. Save time by buying pre-washed, freshly cut fruit in the produce section of your grocery store. At Safeway I was able to find pre-cut strawberries to use in my smoothie. Which makes this recipe even faster and easier to make. Here’s the recipe!
Strawberry Orange Banana Smoothie
makes 2 servings
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, cut into chunks
- 1 banana, peeled
- 1 cup Simply Orange Juice
- 1/2 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
- 1 1/2 cups ice

- Place your strawberries and orange juice into a blender and blend until smooth
- Add your banana, yogurt, ice and blend again until smooth

Right now you can save on your fresh cut fruit! Buy $15 worth of participating Coca-Cola items like smartwater, vitaminwater, POWERADE or Simply Orange at Safeway and you’ll get $4 off your next fresh cut fruit purchase via a Catalina print out.
Look for Simply Orange Juice in the refrigerated juice section of Safeway (like above) or on the endcap display. Fresh cut fruit can be found in the produce section to help you save time on your Strawberry Orange Banana Smoothie.
