I am super excited about transitioning my wardrobe to SPRING!
The days have been grey and rainy in Portland and the sun has been far and few between. I can’t wait to bust out a few florals, bright colours and a sundress or two as things finally warm up a bit more.
Here a few fun spring outfit ideas to get you inspired for the new season:
I love this beachy Criss Cross Strapless Maxi Dress from LOFT. It’s perfect for brunch or for wandering around the farmers’ market on the weekend. I do have to give LOFT props for having a pretty decent petites section. Though I tend not to find anything when I’m in their store, I find their online experience and selection to be way better.
Also super cute from LOFT and do-able for the office is this Vine Sleeveless Shirtdress . I love the bold floral pattern and the bright mustard yellow. Just add an office appropriate cardigan and voila!
I am Coachella-bound in the next week or so and have been trying to update my closet with a few dresses that will be comfortable and stylish in the hot desert sun. Forever 21 has a well-curated festival shop online with lots of affordable dresses for festival season.
I’ve been looking for a kimono to layer over my tops and sundresses. This cute little Floral Drape-Front Kimono is the perfect length for a dress and just sheer enough for the warm days ahead.
For jean shorts, my secret are these super soft cotton-blend denim shorts from Garage Clothing. They are listed online for $40, but they go on sale all the time. My jean shorts from here stand up to many washes and they are soft and comfortable to wear on long road trips.
I know it’s a little early to start thinking about sandal season – but have you ever tried to buy sandals in the summer? Every size seems to already be sold out by the time it’s actually hot enough to wear sandals.
My last little purchase is this Intimately Voile and Lace Trapeze Slip Dress from Free People. I admit, my style has gone a little bit more boho since moving to the west coast. This seems like the perfect dress to float through a hot summer in. For now, I’m going to layer it up with a kimono as one of my spring outfit ideas.
