October Beauty Favourites

It’s a new month!

Which means a whole new list of beauty favourites. Here are the best things to come across my desk this month for my October beauty favourites:

Caryl Baker Lipstick – The shade that really worked out well for me is Artisan, a dramatic raspberry red that’s perfect for fall. My lipstick has a cute little mirror that pops up which is ultra convenient and beats trying to juggle a compact, lipstick and lipstick top while re-applying. It’s very clever and disceet.

Caryl Baker Glow – In order to keep that summer tan from fading, I gave Caryl Baker’s Glow Blush Palette in Malibu Beach a test-drive. I really like all the bright rosy shades in this compact and the darker golden bronzer near the end. You can use just one shade, half of the palette or blend the whole thing together. It left a pretty glow on my cheeks and did not irritate my skin.

Pineapple-papaya-scrub

Papaya Enzyme Scrub – Another Caryl Baker favourite is their Papaya Enzyme Scrub ($40) with big chunks of fruit in this paraben-free scrub. I like leaving it on for about a minute in the shower to let the natural fruit enzymes do their work. My skin felt fresh and soft and the scrub was not too harsh. You only need about a dime-size amount for your whole face, so one tube did go a long way. A definite October beauty favourite!

Nuxe-oil

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse – With dry and cold October air, this spray-on multi-purpose dry oil works in a pinch for your face, body and hair. I like how quick and convenient Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse ($45) is to use, the oil does not get jammed and sprays easily. I’ve been spraying on the oil after a shower, it abosrbs quickly and does not feel overly oily. The gold version is perfect for a night out!

The product feature 6 botanical oils to soften, nourish and moisturize with a pleasant fragrance. You can even use it on your face as a serum, just mix with your moisturizer or foundation.
