Happy Birthday BINGO!

We’ve doggone done it.

We’re THOSE people now and I have reached PEAK Dog Mom.

Since we are back in Toronto and we had so many friends with dogs who wanted to get together during our visit, we decided to throw a little birthday party for BINGO to celebrate him turning 4 this year.

We found this great little daycare space in Toronto by Park9 Ubandog Playcare in Liberty Village and invited a few furry friends to come and run around, while all the parents snapped photos, enjoyed a glass of wine and snacks.

Picture a big open space – sort of like an indoor dog park!

We chose a two-hour time slot after Park9 officially closed for open daycare and had ourselves a fun little private pup party. I picked up some simple snacks like veggies + dip, chips + salsa, fresh fruit and cupcakes for the humans and birthday cake for the doggos.

I also found some cute paw + pup themed plates, napkins, wrapping paper and party hats from Party City. The blow-up name balloon banner was super cute and came from there as well.

The doggie-friendly birthday cake is by Pawslicious in Toronto. This bone shaped cake was around $30 (pick-up in Thornhill) and is made with ingredients that are dog-friendly.

They do make cakes in different sizes and even a small personalized cake if you’re just looking for enough to feed your dog. Different shapes are available as well. They do need lots of notice if you are planning to order a custom cake.

We chose a peanut butter banana cake and we were able to also customize the colours! It was super cute and the dogs really liked it. The cake aftewards – gone to the dogs…

The staff at Park9 were so great and the owners are just lovely people. We hosted our birthday party at their old Liberty Village location. It has since closed, BUT their doggy daycare + boarding location near Pearson Airport is still open, as is their daycare spot on Parliament street.

Moose is a real party animal!

If you’re looking for a daycare or boarding spot for your dog in Toronto – I definitely recommend checking out Park9. We had such a great experience with them and all the dogs had a great time.

All in all – BINGO and his friends had a great time and he was sound asleep and full of treats on the car ride home.

Disclosure: Our dog birthday party space in Toronto was provided complimentary by Park9 Urbandog Playcare, however the opinions expressed in this post remain my own.
