I’ve been spring cleaning every closet and drawer in my house after reading this book. Since moving a lot of things into our new beach house, I’ve been feeling extra minimalist lately – ready to get rid of things.
We live in a VERY open-concept loft with no bedroom doors and two closets. Storage and clutter is an issue. Which brought me to my bathroom…
So when was the last time you gave your make-up drawer a good once over? If you’re not sure what to keep or throw away, here’s a handy guide to get you inspired to give your make-up drawer a makeover: (more…)
I can’t believe it’s 2017! I wanted to share with you a few of my January beauty favorites to help keep your skin feeling soft and hydrated in the New Year. Here’s what I’m loving right now:
Do you have a hard time getting up in the morning – especially when its cold and dark outside? Give your body a jolt with this handmade bar of coffee soap made with coconut oil and ground coffee beans. The coffee also does a great job of exfoliating dry, flaky skin and it smells amazing! Definitely one of my top January beauty products. (more…)
With the holidays coming up there is likely a lot of travel coming up on your schedule. I’ll be heading back to LA soon for a visit and bringing a few of my new travel size beauty favourites with me. Here’s what I’m loving lately!
Nuxe Travel Set – Nuxe is one of my favorite natural brands out there and they put together this cute little travel set of their products in a clear zip-up bag. Includes a cleanser, anti-fatigue day cream, dry oil, hand cream and shower oil – perfect for dehydrated skin after a bunch of travel.
For all my friends out east – brrrrr! It’s getting cold out there and your skin is probably freaking out. I have the same problem whenever the weather changes that I wanted to share with you a few of my winter beauty favourites:
Josie Maran 100 Percent Pure Argan Oil – When my skin is really messed up from airplanes, travel, changing altitudes or cold air – I always start layering on the argan oil. Josie Maran’s is 100% pure like the name suggests, so there are no fillers or any other crap. The best way to wear it is to apply it at night before you go to bed and then slather your favourite night cream on top of it. I treat it like a serum and it’s part of my winter beauty routine. We’re talking about stuff you actually want to buy for yourself!
The holidays are a great way to stock up on your beauty favorites because there are a TON of special value beauty gift sets that only come out this time of year. You get an amazing amount of product for a discounted price. Here are the ones I really love:
Biotherm Holiday Set
This is one of the first holiday kits I bought for myself! I chose the Aquasource Gel Holiday Set which is perfect if you have combination skin like me. It’s only $41 for an $80 value, plus you get $10 off your first order if you subscribe to their email list.
It includes a full-size moisturizer which I love – everything else feels like a freebie! You also get to choose a few samples upon checkout which just adds to the value as well of getting one of these beauty gift sets. (more…)
It’s been awhile since my last beauty round-up, but I’ve been testing a whole slew of beauty products that I’ve fallen in love with. I paid $10 for that Sephora ‘prime’ service and it’s started an addiction!
Here are a couple fave beauty products I definitely recommend:
1) Caudalie Favorites Kit
I was on the hunt for a new micellar cleanser, when I came across this Caudalie Favorites Value Kit which included the cleanser and a bunch of other skincare products. I love the little trial/travel sizes and it made me a believer of their micellar cleanser and the Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet – I would buy the full-size of both. The cleanser is super gentle and my skin sucked up every last bit of the gel-like sorbet.
It was also really nice working within one system and letting the products compliment each other. For $39 – this is an amazing deal and would make a great Christmas gift! (more…)
