A Crafternoon with Erica Domesek – P.S. I Made This

With Christmas just around the corner, Holt Renfrew in Toronto kicked off the holiday season with a party co-hosted by Erica Domesek, founder of the popular DIY website P.S. I Made This.

Billed as a personal appearance, crafting event and book signing, Holts welcomed Erica to Toronto to celebrate the launch of her new book, P.S. You’re Invited. The colourful new tome features over 40 DIY projects to customize your closet, spruce up your home and throw a stylish party with a personal touch.

Of course, no DIY book singing would be complete without a DIY crafting session and a make your own donut station! Jelly Modern Doughnuts set up shop in a cute pink booth with their classic chocolate and vanilla glazed donuts.

The best part of these gourmet doughnuts is that the doughnut hole is piped with your choice of fudge, mocha or vanilla cream and sprinkled with delicious toppings like candy canes, chocolate curls and crispy chocolate pearls.

After the sugar fuel-up, I headed over to the crafting tables to customize my Hudson Jeans denim pouch with sparkly Swarovski elements.

Crafting-PartyTrue to the style of Erica’s book, there were a lot of different options for experienced and beginner crafters alike. The pros hand-sewed their gems onto their pouches while novices like me gladly took advantage of the micro-gems that you simply pierced through the fabric and secured with a Popsicle stick.

Book-Signing-PS-I-Made-ThisOnce I finished glamming up my Hudson Jeans pouch, I met the queen of DIY herself to chat cookies, craft and of course, get my copy of P.S. You’re Invited personalized with Erica’s signature!

I can’t wait to delve into P.S. You’re Invited to try all the fabulous DIY projects including ideas for hosting a modern girl’s game night, a colourful Mexican fiesta and a Morroccan-styled tea party.

Thanks to Holt Renfrew, Hudson Jeans and Erica Domesek for hosting such a fun crafternoon!
